Dr. Cameron Hamidi

Dr. Hamidi is a dedicated dental specialist whose passion is helping people smile with confidence. As a periodontist, he provides expert care in dental implants, gum disease management, and periodontal plastic surgery. He is committed to delivering high quality, evidence based treatment that supports both oral health and overall well being.

Education and Advanced Training

Dr. Hamidi earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2007. He then completed a three year surgical residency in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the University of North Carolina. During this program, he received advanced training in non surgical and surgical periodontics, including periodontal plastic surgery, laser periodontics, complex bone grafting, dental implant therapy, and a wide range of specialty procedures involving the gums and supporting bone.

While in residency, he also earned a Master of Public Health with a focus on Health Policy and Management from UNC. Shortly after completing his surgical training, he became Board Certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery, a distinction achieved and maintained by only a select group of specialists.

Dr. Hamidi continues to be involved in academic dentistry as an adjunct clinical assistant professor at the UNC School of Dentistry, where he mentors residents on complex surgical cases. He is an active member of numerous national and international professional organizations, including the American Board of Periodontology, the American Academy of Periodontology, the International Team for Implantology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Dallas County Dental Society. In addition, he remains engaged in community service and frequently volunteers his time to treat underserved patients.
